We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Social Science & Health and Social Care Teacher to joina dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspiring teacher to support students’ understanding of society, health, and wellbeing, and to prepare them for further study or careers in these vital fields. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Social Science, Health and Social Care Teacher:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Social Sciences (e.g. Sociology, Psychology) and Health & Social Care at Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.

Develop schemes of work that promote critical thinking, empathy, and an understanding of social issues and the care sector.

Prepare students for internal and external assessments, ensuring they are confident and well-prepared to succeed.

Monitor, assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support.

Contribute to curriculum development, enrichment activities and cross-curricular projects where appropriate.

Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate actively in professional development opportunities.

Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful classroom environment.
Ideal Social Science, Health and Social Care Teacher:

A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS or equivalent).

A degree in a relevant subject such as Social Science, Sociology, Psychology, Health & Social Care or a related discipline.

Strong subject knowledge across both Social Sciences and Health & Social Care.

Excellent communication and classroom management skills as a Social Science, Health and Social Care Teacher.
