Day-to-day supply across Faringdon and surrounding areas, starting as soon as possible. These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEND Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs in mainstream and specialist provisions, helping to create inclusive and engaging learning environments.
Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with SEND in accessing the curriculum and achieving their learning goals
- Assist the class teacher in delivering differentiated activities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support as required
- Help manage behaviour and promote positive social interactions
- Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies consistently
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Relevant experience supporting children with SEND in school settings
- Understanding of a range of special educational needs and strategies to support them
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly across different schools and age groups
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
