We are looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting their learning and development both in and outside the classroom. Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

Supporting pupils with SEND on a 1:1 basis or in small groups

Assisting the class teacher with planning and adapting learning resources

Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills

Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting emotional regulation

Working closely with the SENCO and wider staff team to deliver personalised support plans

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Have experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, speech and language, or physical needs)

Be patient, empathetic and flexible in their approach

Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – desirable but not essential

Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and staff as SEND Teaching Assistant.

Have a genuine passion for helping all children access education and thrive
