SEN Teacher – Secondary Complex Needs – Manchester – Step Teachers Start: ASAP | Pay: £(Apply online only)/day DoE (PAYE) Hours: Full-time | Mon–Fri | 8:30am–3:30pm Contract: Full time & Long term We’re working with a specialist high school in Manchester that supports young people aged 11–16 with Autism & Complex Needs. Pupils are working at EYFS or The Engagement Model levels, and classes include a mix of ages, abilities, and learning needs. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, creative, and nurturing teacher who is committed to providing engaging, personalised learning experiences that enable every pupil to achieve their potential. The school places a strong focus on safety, inclusion, communication, and holistic development—ensuring all learners feel valued and supported. As an SEN Needs Teacher, you’ll lead a small class with the support of experienced teaching assistants. You’ll plan and deliver highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning pathways, focusing on communication, independence, sensory exploration, and personal development. Using creative approaches and specialist strategies, you’ll help pupils engage with their education and make meaningful progress in a safe and structured environment. You’ll also work closely with therapists, support staff, and families to ensure consistency and a truly child-centred approach.
