Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled SEN KS3 Teacher to join a dedicated secondary school team. This role is ideal for an educator who thrives on supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs and is committed to inclusive, high-quality teaching. 11 KS3 pupils with a wide range of needs (PMLD–MLD), supported by 3 Teaching Assistants, following a differentiated National Curriculum. Starting November 2025.
Duties

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS3 curriculum, adapted to meet the needs of students with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, moderate learning difficulties).

Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with the SENCo, teaching assistants and external professionals.

Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum and achieve progress.

Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers and colleagues.

Create a positive, supportive classroom environment that fosters confidence, independence and social development.
Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Experience teaching KS3 students, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting.

Strong understanding of current SEN strategies and inclusive classroom practices.

Excellent communication, organisational and teamworking skills as SEN KS3 Teacher.

Patience, empathy and the ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
