We are seeking committed SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs across a variety of school settings. Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist teachers in creating a calm and inclusive classroom environment

  • Support pupils’ emotional well-being and encourage positive social interactions
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals

Ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies

  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
