We are looking for a caring and committed Nursery Teaching Assistant to join an early years team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young children's development in a warm, welcoming environment. You will play an important role in helping children feel secure, confident, and ready to explore and learn. Beginning May 2025.
Duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Support the class teacher in delivering a high-quality early years curriculum
- Supervise and engage children in a range of activities
- Assist with personal care, mealtimes, and routines
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment
- Observe and report on children's progress
- Work in partnership with parents and staff to support each child's development
Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children aged 0–5 (nursery or early years setting)
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (desirable)
- A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided)
