Duties as a Nursery Assistant:
- Assist in delivering a high-quality early years education program in a nurturing environment
- Support children’s learning through play, interaction, and exploration
- Help to create a safe and welcoming environment for all children
- Encourage children to develop their social, emotional, and physical skills
- Assist with daily routines, such as mealtimes, nap times, and personal care
- Work alongside other nursery staff to ensure the smooth running of the setting
- Observe and report on children’s progress and development
- Support children with special educational needs, where appropriate
Ideal Nursery Assistant:
- Experience working with young children, ideally in an early years setting
- A patient, caring, and positive attitude as a Nursery Assistant
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A passion for working with children and helping them reach their potential
- A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, is desirable but not essential
