We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a committed and forward-thinking Mathematics department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop confidence, reasoning skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
- Teach across a range of age and ability groups in accordance with national curriculum requirements.
- Use assessment and data effectively to monitor student progress and inform future planning.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations such as GCSEs and A-levels (if applicable).
- Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, progress, and outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation, and departmental planning.
- Participate in regular CPD, departmental meetings, and school initiatives.
- Support the development of numeracy across the school.
- Engage with parents, carers, and staff to support student learning and wellbeing.
Ideal Maths Teacher:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Have a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching maths.
- Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
- Be an effective classroom practitioner who is reflective and eager to develop professionally.
- Have strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills as a Maths Teacher.
