You’ll be supporting schools in Barnet and the surrounding areas, teaching History across Key Stages.

Duties as History Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the History curriculum following provided plans
  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in accordance with school policies
  • Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives

Ideal History Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in History
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
  • Adaptable and confident working in a long‑term or supply role
