We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated History Teacher to join a vibrant Humanities department at a vibrant school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential for Key Stage 5 depending on experience. This begins September 2025.
Duties as a History Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons aligned with the national curriculum and/or exam board specifications.
- Inspire curiosity, critical thinking and debate through dynamic teaching approaches.
- Monitor and support student progress, providing regular feedback to aid improvement.
- Contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources and cross-curricular links.
- Promote historical literacy, analytical skills and a love of learning.
- Participate in whole-school events, CPD, and trips such as historical site visits.
Ideal History Teacher:
- Holds QTS and a relevant degree in History or a closely related subject.
- Has strong subject knowledge and a clear understanding of progression across key stages.
