This is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a committed Humanities team. The successful candidate will have a passion for geography and be dedicated to delivering high-quality teaching that sparks curiosity about the world and empowers students to understand global issues. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Geography Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and well-structured geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Promote geographical literacy and an understanding of physical and human geography
  • Create a positive learning environment that motivates and challenges all students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, setting high expectations and offering constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the geography curriculum and departmental resources
  • Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations (e.g., GCSE and A-Level)
  • Organise or support enrichment activities such as fieldwork, trips, and geography-related clubs
  • Engage with parents/carers and contribute to whole-school events and initiatives
  • Fulfil duties as a form tutor and support students’ personal, social, and academic development
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and school improvement initiatives

Ideal Geography Teacher:

  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Geography or a related subject
  • Have experience teaching across at least Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for global issues, sustainability, and current events
  • Be committed to high standards of teaching and learning
  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Geography Teacher
  • Be a team player with a proactive and positive attitude
