Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Science teacher who enjoys inspiring young people to explore the world around them? We are seeking a dynamic General Science Teacher to join a successful and supportive Science department at a lovely school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Biology, Chemistry and Physics at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a strong foundation in scientific understanding. This role begins September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and effective science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum and exam board requirements
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed
  • Track student progress and support those who need additional guidance or challenge
  • Contribute to the development of resources and schemes of work within the department
  • Participate in school activities, enrichment events and CPD opportunities
  • Uphold the school's behaviour and safeguarding policies at all times

Ideal General Science Teacher:

  • Holds QTS (or is working towards it) and a relevant science degree
  • Has sound knowledge of the secondary science curriculum
