General Science Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary cover starting January 2026 and ongoing

Duties as General Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver high‑quality Science lessons across Key Stages, tailored to meet the needs of all learners
• Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school policies
• Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning
• Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a safe and productive learning space
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and share best practice
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to departmental planning

Ideal General Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Specialist subject knowledge in Science across Key Stages
• Ability to inspire and motivate pupils to achieve their full potential
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Previous experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting is desirable
