Overview
We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a Design & Technology department on a permanent basis from the end of December 2025. You will inspire students to develop practical cookery skills, understand nutrition, and appreciate the science of food while achieving excellent academic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare and maintain specialist equipment and ingredients in the food technology room, ensuring a safe and hygienic learning environment.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and differentiated support.
- Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs or school catering events.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote healthy eating and practical life skills across the school.
Qualifications and requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Strong subject knowledge in Food Technology, Food Preparation & Nutrition, or related fields.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Food Technology Teacher.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
