English Teacher – Part-time, long-term temporary role starting April 2026.

Responsibilities
- Teach English lessons on a part-time basis across relevant year groups
- Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons that support progress
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain calm routines
- Adapt teaching to meet varied learning needs
- Assess pupil understanding during lessons and provide feedback
- Contribute to departmental collaboration and consistent practice
- Support pupils in developing reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching English
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of different abilities
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Proactive, reflective, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well-being
