We are looking for a confident, organised, and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school team. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:

Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher.

Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and expectations.

Take the register and keep accurate records.

Provide feedback to teaching staff about any issues or achievements during cover lessons.

Support pupils with their learning where possible.
-
Uphold the school’s safeguarding procedures at all times.

Assist with break or lunchtime supervision if required.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:

Good standard of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths).

Previous experience working with young people (desirable).

Confidence to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Cover Supervisor.
