The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

We are looking for a confident, organised, and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school team. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher.

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school’s policies and expectations.

  • Take the register and keep accurate records.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff about any issues or achievements during cover lessons.

  • Support pupils with their learning where possible.

  • Uphold the school’s safeguarding procedures at all times.

  • Assist with break or lunchtime supervision if required.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

  • Good standard of education (minimum GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths).

  • Previous experience working with young people (desirable).

  • Confidence to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a Cover Supervisor.

  • Flexible, adaptable, and professional approach.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
