We are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with special educational needs across a variety of school settings. These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact and enjoy working in diverse educational environments.
Duties as SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Assist teachers in delivering inclusive lessons and adapting resources
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) under guidance from teaching staff
- Promote a safe and positive learning environment for all learners
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
