We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to join a friendly and ambitious team at this wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a mixed-age upper KS2 class and prepare pupils for a smooth transition into secondary school. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, we welcome applications from those who are passionate about making a difference to young learners. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Year 5/6 Teacher:
- Deliver engaging, inclusive and challenging lessons across the Year 5 and Year 6 curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for end-of-KS2 assessments (SATs), ensuring both academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Use assessment to inform planning and tailor support to meet the needs of all learners.
- Foster a positive classroom environment where all pupils feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to achieve the best outcomes for children.
Ideal Year 5/6 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum, particularly Years 5 and 6.
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills as a Year 5/6 Teacher.
- High expectations for all pupils, with a nurturing and reflective teaching style.
