We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team on a short-term basis, starting immediately and running until Christmas 2025.

Duties as Year 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities for Year 2 pupils.

  • Assist small groups or individual pupils to help them achieve learning objectives.

  • Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour.

  • Help with daily routines, including setting up resources and supervising play or learning activities.

  • Contribute to pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.

Ideal Year 2 Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally Year 2.

  • Positive, flexible, and proactive approach.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills as a Year 2 Teaching Assistant.

  • Relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification desirable but not essential.

  • Current Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
