Overview
We are seeking a caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school team on a long-term basis, beginning October 2025. The successful candidate will support pupils’ learning and development both inside and outside the classroom, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils, including those with additional needs.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming and well-organised classroom environment.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural development.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities where appropriate.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- A recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred) or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team as a Teaching Assistant.
- A caring, patient and flexible approach.
