Teaching Assistants – Flexible daily and short-term roles available immediately. We are currently recruiting teaching assistants to work across schools in St Albans and the surrounding areas. Duties as Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils in both classroom and one-to-one settings
- Assist the class teacher in delivering learning activities
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Help create a calm and inclusive learning environment
- Work closely with the SENCO and other support staff to implement individual education plans
- Provide feedback on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff
- Support pupils during transitions and break times
Ideal Teaching Assistant:

- Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff
- Resilient, patient and empathetic approach
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, psychology or youth work (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
