Specialist Unit Teacher Role:

As a Specialist Unit Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, adaptive learning provision under the direction of the Specialist Unit Lead Teacher. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of student progress, delivering engaging and tailored lessons, and fostering an inclusive learning environment that meets the diverse needs of students.

Key Responsibilities of a Specialist Unit Teacher:

  • Deliver and adapt high-quality teaching strategies to meet individual student needs.

  • Evaluate and enhance student progress across all aspects of the Specialist Unit provision.

  • Work collaboratively with the Specialist Unit Lead Teacher to drive forward high standards.

  • Support and promote a culture of high expectations and aspiration for both students and staff.

  • Engage with families and the wider school community to support student development.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience working in specialist education or with SEND students.

  • A strong commitment to inclusive teaching and learning.
