We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH, cognition & learning)

  • Assist in delivering differentiated learning within the classroom and in small groups

  • Support behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation strategies

  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals

  • Promote independence and confidence in all areas of learning

  • Help maintain a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment

Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

  • Experience working with children with SEND (in school, care, or community settings)

  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

  • Understanding of or willingness to learn about EHCPs and SEND strategies

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable

  • A genuine desire to make a difference in children’s lives
