We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in supporting students with a range of special educational needs. You’ll play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant:

Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH, cognition & learning)

Assist in delivering differentiated learning within the classroom and in small groups

Support behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation strategies

Collaborate closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals

Promote independence and confidence in all areas of learning

Help maintain a safe, nurturing and supportive learning environment
Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with children with SEND (in school, care, or community settings)

A calm, patient, and proactive approach

Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a SEND Teaching Assistant.

Understanding of or willingness to learn about EHCPs and SEND strategies
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable
