Step Teachers are currently working with a Primary School who are looking for a Nursery Class Teacher to join their team in September 2025 for a part time role. The role is a long term supply contract and they are looking for a Nursery Class Teacher who can work 5 mornings per week. There is the possibility for this to be extended into full days but this is dependent on the number of children in the classes.

The position is at a two form entry school who prides themselves on offering a dynamic and engaging environment for its students. Friendship is at the core of the school’s values and they value and advocate positivity for every student.

Nursery Class Teacher Role:

  • Possess strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
  • Maintain a tidy and organized classroom with easily accessible resources
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members both in the classroom and throughout the school
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress
  • Plan and deliver engaging and fun lessons that can be adapted to the needs of the class
  • Willingly comply with and effectively implement the school\’s policies

Nursery Class Teacher Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status or Early Years Teaching Status
  • Have recent experience as a Primary School or Early Years Teacher in a mainstream Primary School
  • Demonstrate good classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Experience working with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) is desirable
