We are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to join a supportive secondary school team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience—ideal for aspiring teachers or those with a passion for education. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and engagement

  • Support students in their learning and encourage a positive classroom environment

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

  • Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting

  • Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills as a Cover Supervisor.

  • A calm, professional, and flexible approach

  • Confidence to lead lessons across a variety of subjects at KS3 and KS4

  • A genuine interest in education and pupil development
