We are seeking confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support a variety of secondary schools. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom practitioners who enjoy working with young people and want flexible work. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as Cover Supervisor
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task with pre-set work.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with each school’s policies.
- Provide brief feedback to teaching staff about lesson progress and pupil engagement.
- Assist with the smooth running of the school day, including registration and duties as required.
Ideal Cover Supervisor
- Previous experience working with young people (e.g. in a school, youth work, or tutoring) is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills as a Cover Supervisor.
- Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and year groups.
- A valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
