Step Into Teaching are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Lichfield, Staffordshire to recruit an EnglishGraduate Teaching Assistantfor the new academic year starting ASAP.
The school is looking for a passionate graduateto support students within Englishlessons. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, therapy, counselling, SEN support, or wider education settings, and who are looking to gain valuable school-based experience before progressing into further training or study.
The Opportunity:
- Full-time role (Monday to Friday)

- £500 – £530 per week (term time only)
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Supporting students in lessons on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within Science
- Assisting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs to access learning effectively
- Delivering targeted intervention sessions within your specialist subject area
- Working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
- Helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
Who We’re Looking For:
- A recent graduate (2:2 or above preferred) in English or an Englishrelated subject
- Passionate about supporting young people in education
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive
- Interested in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, therapy, or SEN support
- Confident working with students who may require additional learning or emotional support
