• Gain in-depth classroom experience
• Build strong relationships with students and staff
• Develop key skills essential for your teaching career

The ideal Graduate Trainee Teacher will:

• Hold adegree in Physics or a related field (2:2 or above)
• Have a strong grasp ofcore Physics conceptsl
• Be able to explaincomplex scientific principlesin a way that is accessible and engaging to secondary school students
• Have a passion forhands‑on experimentsand encourage students to participate inpractical lab workto bring theoretical concepts to life
• Be enthusiastic, approachable, and supportive
• Be resilient, driven, and motivated to help students achieve their potential in STEM subjects
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be creative in designingengaging lesson plansthat incorporate technology andmodern scientific applications
• Show initiative while working collaboratively with others

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliverexciting Physics lessonsthat make use of experiments, group discussions, and practical problem-solving tasks
• Use a variety of teaching strategies to explaincomplex topicssuch as mechanics, thermodynamics, and electrical circuits
• Support thedevelopment of a dynamic Physics curriculumthat integrates both theoretical learning and real‑world applications
• Encourage students to develop a deeper curiosity aboutscientific discoveryand the natural world
• Promote positive student behaviour, ensuring that lessons are safe, organised, and aligned with school values
• Assist in maintaining and organising theschool’s lab equipment, ensuring all safety standards are met during practical sessions
• Follow all instructions as directed by the department Head and observe Health & Safety Regulations
