We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sustainability Tutor to join our delivery team, to deliver our new ‘Step into Sustainability’ study programme. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sustainability and recent experience working with young people with a range of educational needs. You should be able to evidence a strong link to or recent experience of sustainability, environmental and/or land-based practices.
Responsibilities
The role involves delivering a tailored and inclusive sustainability curriculum that supports the personal development, wellbeing, and life skills of learners, ensuring they have the tools and confidence to navigate adulthood.
Qualifications
- Key qualification, skills and experience
- Maths and English at secondary education level or demonstrate equivalent qualifications.
- Willingness and ability to undertake a teaching or training qualification.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/databases and SharePoint.
- Ability to prioritise and self-manage.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate.
- Good problem-solving skills.
