Tasks: This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive individual, who enjoys working in a busy, fast-paced environment, to join us as we implement our organisational strategy, values and culture. The postholder will support young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to succeed in real workplace settings as part of a Supported Internship programme. The purpose of the role is to enable interns to develop job skills, confidence and independence, so they can progress towards sustained paid employment. Support is gradually reduced as independence increases. The postholder will bridge the gap between education and employment, focusing on skill-building and independence. Support provided is time-limited and focused.

Requirements:

  • Key qualification, skills and experience
  • Maths and English at secondary education level or demonstrate equivalent experience
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint/databases and SharePoint
  • Experience supporting young people or adults with SEND and/or additional needs
  • Understanding of inclusive practice and reasonable adjustments
  • Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
  • Ability to prioritise and self-manage
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate
