We are seeking to recruit a Service Support Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team supporting young people aged 11–25 with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. This role will enhance our team by providing reception duties and administration and support related to our service areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide welcoming front of house services for young people, professionals and members of the public.
  • Provide administration support to the CEO, Operations Manager and our specific service areas.
  • Undertake duties to help ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
  • Provide services at times suitable for young people, predominantly requiring the postholder to be based on site, but may involve some remote work if appointed to a fulltime role.
  • Keeping records on our salesforce database.

About You

  • Helpful, friendly and has a professional approach to dealing with people.
  • Comfortable positively promoting our services and able to work appropriately within a diverse organisation with a wide range of people in regard to their racial, cultural, religious beliefs, gender, sexuality and socio-economic backgrounds.
  • Motivated, proactive and flexible.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multi-agency teams.
  • Interested in working in a hands-on position in the charitable and voluntary sector.

We provide services both in our own purpose built centre and also on an outreach basis in schools and community/youth settings. As Step Forward is a small charity, our multi-disciplinary team work closely together to provide a holistic support service to young people. We expect all members of the team to take part in activities which help ensure the smooth running of the organisation and help us to reach organisational objectives.
