Salary: Excellent Rates of Pay – £15 per hour

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our team for a new 2:1 support package. This role focuses on providing tailored care for an individual with complex needs, including challenges related to acquired brain injury, mental health conditions, and a history of aggression.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping the individual manage their emotional and behavioural challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management, while promoting independence.

· Providing reassurance and emotional support during moments of distress or anxiety, helping to reduce potential outbursts.

· Implementing specific strategies to manage challenging behaviours, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

· Engaging in therapeutic activities that align with the individual\’s interests, such as fishing and football, to encourage positive engagement and social interaction.

· Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to create an understanding environment where the individual feels secure and supported.

Key Requirements:

· Previous experience in a support or care role, particularly with individuals facing mental health challenges and behavioural issues, is preferred.

· Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.

· A compassionate and patient approach, with a genuine commitment to providing emotional support and guidance.

· Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

· Relevant training or qualifications in health and social care are advantageous but not essential.
