Job Purpose
The Front of House Supervisor will support the smooth day-to-day running of service, helping to build a strong front of house culture focused on consistency, warmth, and high standards. This is a hands-on, floor-based role for someone who enjoys leading by example and supporting both guests and team members during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the daily front of house operation during service periods
- Lead the floor to ensure calm, well-organised, and professional service
- Act as a point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Support onboarding and training of new team members during reopening
- Work closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and professionalism
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required
- Handle guest feedback or issues calmly and professionally
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous front of house experience within hospitality
- Have supervisory experience, or be ready to step into a leadership role
- Deliver excellent customer service in a calm and professional manner
- Communicate confidently with guests and colleagues
- Take pride in presentation and setting standards on the floor
- Be reliable, organised, and comfortable in a busy service environment
- Be willing to learn, follow systems, and help build a team culture from reopening
Experience in tourist-focused or high-footfall venues is an advantage but not essential. The right attitude and professionalism are key.
