A leading technology infrastructure business is looking to add to their sales team due to their exciting growth plans and are currently looking for a driven, commercially focused Business Development Manager. The company designs, delivers and supports the physical technology infrastructure that enables large, complex and mission-critical environments to operate. Its work includes structured cabling, connectivity, network infrastructure, data centers, and workplace technology.

This is a genuine hunter role. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities, opening doors, building senior relationships and winning complex projects, then retaining ownership of the accounts you bring in and developing them over time. You will be targeting organisations including data-centre operators, systems integrators, cloud and AI providers, enterprise businesses and major project partners.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A proven track record in new-business sales
  • A background in IT, ideally data center, infrastructure, networking, cabling, connectivity, systems integration.
  • The drive and resilience to create opportunities rather than wait for leads
  • Confidence engaging senior commercial and technical stakeholders
  • Experience of consultative, project-led sales and longer sales cycles
  • A proactive, commercially sharp approach and genuine appetite to win

You may currently be selling IT infrastructure, connectivity, networking, cabling, managed services or technology solutions through a reseller, systems integrator, data-center, cloud or managed-service environment. You do not need direct data-center experience. The priority is strong IT-sector sales experience, new-business capability and the ability to build a high-value pipeline from scratch.
