We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to join our welcoming and customer-focused team at the Barista Coffee Shop in Belfast Port.
In this role, you’ll be serving up more than just great coffee—you’ll be creating a warm and positive experience for every customer who walks through our terminal doors. From preparing high-quality drinks to keeping the space clean and inviting, you’ll play a key part in making our café a place people love to visit.
You’ll report to the Onboard Services & Sales Commercial Manager and work closely with a supportive team that values enthusiasm, reliability, and a can-do attitude.

Some Of Your Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality speciality coffee drinks, including espresso-based drinks, pour overs and tea.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including the coffee bar, equipment and surrounding areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting customers, taking orders and answering questions.
- Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve store goals and objectives.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up to date on the latest coffee trends and techniques.

Who You Are
At Stena Line your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do, you will be efficient ensuring that you can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities. Furthermore, you will need to maintain a high level of attention to detail to enable accuracy and quality in every drink prepared. Additionally, it is important that the individual is collaborative to enable teamwork with other colleagues to achieve store goals and then develop relationships with regular customers, building trust and loyalty.

This role involves working 4 days on 4 days off with split shifts and 28 hours per week in a permanent position based in our Belfast port at Stena Line, Victoria Business Park, West Bank Road, Belfast.
