Stena Line is Expanding Join Our Team of Skilled Drivers Supporting Belfast Port Operations. At Stena Line, our Port Operations Team in Belfast plays a vital role in keeping Europe connected through safe, efficient, and reliable freight and passenger services. As part of our exciting expansion, we are now recruiting experienced drivers to support our growing operations and help deliver excellence at the port. This is a hands-on operational role where your driving skills and team-focused mindset will make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Tugmaster to transfer trailers on and off vessels.
- Assist with mooring and vessel loading/unloading procedures.
- Marshal freight and passenger vehicles for embarkation and disembarkation.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety across port areas.
- Follow structured operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Adapt to training on new equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth port operations.
Working Pattern: This role follows a structured rota with clearly defined working hours and scheduled days off, offering predictability and balance to support your commitments outside of work.

Who You Are:
- A safety-first professional with a proven commitment to safe operations.
- Hands-on experience operating large vehicles (e.g., HGVs, Tugmasters, agricultural machinery, or similar).
- Background in roles like Truck Driver, HGV Driver, Lorry Driver, or in transport/logistics is highly transferable.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Adapt quickly to new equipment and procedures.
- A strong team player with excellent, clear communication skills.
- Possess a customer-focused mindset.
Please note: An HGV licence is not required, but your driving experience is a strong asset for this role.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience operating large vehicles (HGVs, Tugmasters, or similar).
- Previous work in port operations or logistics is a plus.
- Full, clean driving licence.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Commitment to safety and following structured procedures.
