The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
Some of the duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for shore based support relating to BOP, Subsea and Well Control Electronic Systems.
- Support of Offshore Subsea Electronic Personnel.
- Supervision of repair and maintenance activities relating to subsea electronic equipment and associated topside controls.
- Ensure that equipment failures are properly investigated, root causes identified and remedial action taken in order to ensure reliability.
- Ensure offshore Subsea Personnel are informed of any fleet wide issues, product bulletins and safety alerts.
- Advise on preventative maintenance strategies relating to subsea/surface well control electronic systems.
- Co-ordinate and execute BOP/Well Control System upgrade and modification projects.
- Any other duties as required by the Subsea Manager.
Suitable applicants should ideally have:
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Electronic Systems or Automation & Control.
- Previous experience and knowledge required in some of the following – Design review, maintenance and troubleshooting of Electronic control systems.
- Siemens Step 7 PLC’s, CAN Bus Networks, Wonderware HMI software.
- Solenoids, actuators, transducers & sensors.
- Subsea electrical cables and connectors.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Positive, proactive attitude.
- Excellent Microsoft knowledge.
- Membership of a Professional Institute & working towards Incorporated/Chartered Status.
- Experience gained as a Service Engineer with particular focus on Subsea control systems/electronics.
