The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

Some of the duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Development and maintenance of our vessel safety cases and supporting formal safety assessment studies.
  • Development and maintenance of bow‑tie diagrams for major accident hazards associated with vessel operations.
  • Assist Technical Authorities in the identification of safety & environmentally critical elements (SECE’s) and development of associated performance standards and assurance activities.
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of our real time digital barrier and process safety performance monitoring solution (Presight).
  • Reviewing operational risk assessments for temporarily degraded plant, process and people barriers.
  • Facilitate hazard identification and risk assessments carried out in support of the management of change process.
  • Assist in the development of emergency response plans for the major accident hazards identified in the safety case.
  • Development of process safety training material for our offshore workforce.
  • Coordinating inspections carried out by the Competent Authority (OMAR/OPRED) and ensuring that any findings are logged, followed up, and closed out in a timely manner.
  • Control of documents and correspondence sent to regulatory bodies ensuring statutory documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
  • Review relevant industry standards against asset integrity procedures and identify any upgrades or policy impacts.
  • Liaison with Clients in order to resolve any process safety related issues identified during the rig acceptance process, and in operation.
  • Supporting the integration of human factors into our management system.
  • Managing external consultancy relationships where expert guidance is required.

Suitable applicants should ideally have:

  • Bachelor or Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Sound knowledge of offshore safety legislation, guidance, and associated industry standards.
  • Knowledge of offshore drilling operations and associated equipment.
  • Proven experience in the management of major accident hazards within the upstream oil and gas industry.
