The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.

Some of the duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Marine Manager in ensuring that all company units are operating within the requirements of applicable legislation, industry best marine practices and that all marine operations are conducted in full compliance with the company SMS.
  • Assist in ensuring that the company units fulfil all authority, Client and Company requirements, with regards to the Marine standard of the unit, its equipment and that the unit’s statutory certification is kept in date.
  • Assist in ensuring that all Marine personnel onboard the units are adequately trained, experienced and certificated to perform the tasks they are assigned.
  • Act as Tow Master for rig moves as required, including planning and execution of procedures, HAZOP’s and HAZID’s.
  • Serve as Stena’s subject matter expert on moorings and rig moves, liaising directly with clients.
  • Assist in planning and managing current and future marine operations in coordination with clients and Stena Drilling Management.
  • Assist in the review of Marine Operations, research programmes and information supplied by our Clients/Operators.
  • Be focused on the continuing development of Dynamic Positioning within the offshore industry and ensure Stena Vessels are surpassing current industry standards.
  • In conjunction with the client and Stena Drilling Management, assist in the planning and control of current and future Marine operations.
  • Exercise effective planning and communication of any foreseen problems with future and present Marine projects and operations.
  • Review Presight data daily and promptly address overdue or failed target items.
  • Review and monitor company units performance in line with Stena’s environmental policy.
  • Any other duties as required by the Marine Manager.

Suitable applicants should ideally have:

  • STCW Master Unlimited CoC and NI DP Unlimited Certification
  • Proven offshore leadership experience, ideally within drilling operations.
  • Hands-on rig move experience (Tow Master, Marine Rep, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of UK Maritime Law and Flag State legislation.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and audit skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ISM auditing.
