Key Responsibilities

  • FPGA Engineering: Simulating and implementing sophisticated signal, image, or data processing algorithms using VHDL for FPGA platforms.
  • PCB Design: Developing complex PCBs incorporating FPGAs, SoCs, high-speed network interfaces, and analogue/RF signal filtering.
  • Schematic & Layout Management: Performing schematic capture (utilising tools such as OrCAD) and managing the full lifecycle of PCB layout, fabrication, and assembly via subcontractors.
  • Hardware Integration: Setting to work new hardware, including the development of test firmware and software.
  • Driver Development: Writing and optimising Linux device drivers to interface with custom hardware solutions.
