We are seeking a Principal Scientist with extensive experience of Structural Biology to join a growing life sciences company based in Edinburgh. In this senior, laboratory-based position, you will utilise your extensive expertise in X-ray Crystallography, Cryo-EM, and structural biology to lead client projects, ensure high-quality delivery, and contribute to the growth of the service line.
You will mentor colleagues, support training initiatives, and help to introduce new technologies to enhance laboratory capabilities. Your leadership and technical skills will directly impact the discovery and development programmes of various clients, while supporting the advancement of the team.
- Deep expertise in Structural Biology, including hands-on experience with X-ray Crystallography and Cryo-EM
- Proven experience leading scientific projects, especially in a CRO, biotech, pharma, or academic setting
- Strong decision-making, communication skills, and ability to mentor junior scientists
- PhD in industrial Structural Biology with a track record of successful scientific outcomes
