A well-established and growing organisation within a fast-paced operational sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function at one of its key sites in Perth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, drive performance insights, and partner closely with operational teams to support decision-making.
The Role
- You’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of site finance, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and developing a high-performing local team.
Financial Control & Reporting
- Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy.
- Production and review of management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintaining robust balance sheet control and audit trails.
- Investigating and explaining variances with clear, actionable insights.
Budgeting & Performance
- Leading budgeting and forecasting processes at site level.
- Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts aligned to operational drivers.
- Developing KPI reporting to support performance improvement.
- Supporting pricing reviews and margin analysis.
Leadership & Team Management
- Managing, mentoring and developing a small finance team.
- Creating a high-performance culture with clear accountability.
Business Partnering
- Working closely with operational, commercial and transport teams.
- Translating financial data into meaningful insights.
- Supporting cost control, productivity analysis and planning.
- Contributing to wider site leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
Systems & Controls
- Overseeing transactional accuracy within ERP systems.
- Driving process improvements and identifying control gaps.
- Supporting group reporting, audits and finance projects.
About You
- You’ll be a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the wider business.
Essential
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
- Professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively studying.
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
- Strong background in financial reporting and balance sheet control.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, waste or similar operational environments.
- Experience in a multi-site or group structure.
- Strong ERP and reporting system experience.
