We are delighted to partner with an innovative engineering business who are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The client designs and builds custom equipment and systems, working across a variety of manufacturing industries. The business values practical engineering solutions, hands–on problem solving, and collaboration across multi–disciplinary teams. This role offers the chance to get involved in projects from concept through to build and testing, while developing your skills in a supportive, fast–moving environment.
The Role
You’ll be involved in the design and development of mechanical solutions, taking ideas through to build and testing. You’ll work closely with other engineering teams and get exposure to the full project lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Creating 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
- Developing practical design solutions
- Working with other disciplines to deliver projects
- Supporting build, testing, and problem–solving
What They’re Looking For
- Experience in mechanical design
- Proficient using 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Inventor or similar)
- Proficient with 2D drawings and layouts, and writing engineering documentation
- Good understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Someone proactive, practical, and easy to work with
