STEM Recruitment is seeking a permanent Product Development Engineer (I) for our client, FlexMedical Solutions, based in Livingston, Scotland. You will be part of a dynamic team supporting the development of diagnostic products from concept through to manufacturing within an ISO13485 environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop solutions, design feasibility experiments, generate technical documentation, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
- Provide hands‑on design experience, utilize modern manufacturing and metrology equipment, and apply proficiency in CAD software and statistical analysis tools.
Qualifications
- Degree in a technical or engineering subject (or equivalent industry experience)
- Experience with modern manufacturing equipment (lasers, robotics, liquid dispensers)
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Solidworks or Draftsight
- Ability to perform statistical analysis using Minitab
- Understanding of manufacturing methods including rapid prototyping
- Experience working within ISO13485 and regulatory standards (desirable)
- Knowledge of biosensor design, DFM methodologies, and validation processes (highly desirable)
