A well-established and growing organisation within a fast-paced operational sector is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function at one of its key sites in Perth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll take ownership of financial reporting, drive performance insights, and partner closely with operational teams to support decision-making. The Role

  • You’ll be responsible for leading all aspects of site finance, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and developing a high-performing local team.

Financial Control & Reporting

  • Ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met with accuracy.
  • Production and review of management accounts, including full P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining robust balance sheet control and audit trails.
  • Investigating and explaining variances with clear, actionable insights.

Budgeting & Performance

  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes at site level.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly forecasts aligned to operational drivers.
  • Developing KPI reporting to support performance improvement.
  • Supporting pricing reviews and margin analysis.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Managing, mentoring and developing a small finance team.
  • Creating a high-performance culture with clear accountability.

Business Partnering

  • Working closely with operational, commercial and transport teams.
  • Translating financial data into meaningful insights.
  • Supporting cost control, productivity analysis and planning.
  • Contributing to wider site leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.

Systems & Controls

  • Overseeing transactional accuracy within ERP systems.
  • Driving process improvements and identifying control gaps.
  • Supporting group reporting, audits and finance projects.

About You

  • You’ll be a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with the wider business.

Essential

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Professionally qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or actively studying.
  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior finance role.
  • Strong background in financial reporting and balance sheet control.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Experience within manufacturing, logistics, waste or similar operational environments.
  • Experience in a multi-site or group structure.
  • Strong ERP and reporting system experience.
