STEM Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled Ink Technician for a permanent position based in Edinburgh. The role involves utilizing expertise in production, particularly within the packaging manufacturing sector, to oversee and manage ink-related processes. Duties: * Responsible for controlling press returned inks and maintaining the ink stores and a safe and tidy condition. * Check print production programs and prioritise workload; issue required quantities of ink to each press along with completed ink issue sheets and colour standards. * Complete all relevant paper work; record information thoroughly and accurately. * Change ink bulk tanks, barrels and solvent barrels when required. * Supervise the delivery and discharge of bulk solvents from road tankers. * Unload ink deliveries; check delivery quantities correspond with delivery note; place goods into stock maintaining efficient aged stock rotation Requirements: * Proven experience in production * Background in packaging manufacturing * Valid Fork Lift license advantageous The successful candidate will enjoy a competitive salary, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.
