We're recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join an innovative manufacturing business operating within a specialist process environment. This is a hands-on role supporting the reliability and performance of site equipment through planned and reactive maintenance. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you'll help minimise downtime and improve equipment performance.
The Role
- Carrying out maintenance, fault finding, breakdown repairs and installation work on process plant equipment including pumps, vessels, agitators and similar machinery.
- Supporting preventative maintenance activities and continuous improvement across the site.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues to minimise downtime.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records through CMMS/PMS systems.
- Supporting equipment upgrades, installations and contractor activities when required.
About You
- Experience maintaining industrial process plant or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with rotating equipment such as pumps, motors, agitators or similar.
- A recognised engineering qualification/apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work safely and independently.
Further Details
- This role will initially operate on a continuous backshift pattern (2pm – 10pm), moving to a days and backs shift pattern as the site continues to grow.
- Salary starting from £40,000 depending on experience.
