We are looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to take ownership of automation and control systems within a busy manufacturing environment.

This is a specialist role, suited to someone whose experience is heavily focused on PLC programming, modification and fault finding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical lead for PLC and machine control systems
  • Programme, modify and fault find PLCs, including Siemens and Mitsubishi
  • Diagnose faults across automated equipment and industrial control systems
  • Support equipment upgrades, new installations and system improvements
  • Review and update electrical drawings, schematics and control documentation
  • Work with suppliers and contractors on automation and controls projects
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and manufacturing processes

About You

  • Strong, hands-on PLC experience gained in a dedicated controls, automation or systems-focused role
  • Experience programming and fault finding on Siemens and Mitsubishi PLCs
  • The ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
  • Experience working with automated machinery within a manufacturing equipment
  • A methodical approach to fault finding, problem solving and root cause analysis

  • Salary starting from Β£50,000 per annum
  • Monday-Friday dayshift role
