Stem Recruitment have a new opportunity for an Operations Manager to work for a manufacturing company based in Edinburgh.
This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, delivery commitments, and safety requirements are consistently met.
Some responsibilities include Lead, develop and manage production teams, including supervisors, technicians, operators and apprentices, ensuring appropriate capability, skills development and succession planning.
Oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Manage production capacity, labour planning and resource allocation to meet current and forecast customer requirements.
Requirements Bachelors degree in engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other quality systems.
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related methodologies.
Experience of working in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, production planning and lean manufacturing tools Proven track record in driving operational excellence and process improvement.
